I had breast augmentation 5 weeks ago. My surgeon told me before surgery that he might need slightly different sizes, but I said I felt they didn’t need different sizes. However, he is the expert, and I trusted his decision. I also said I preferred 275–300 cc, as 250 cc felt too small during the sizing consult.
After surgery, he told me he placed a 250 cc in one breast and a 300 cc in the smaller breast. I was immediately concerned and surprised by the 50 cc difference, but was told to wait for swelling to settle.
At 10 days post-op, I mentioned that the 300 cc side already looked noticeably larger and fuller in diameter. Now at 5 weeks, I still see and feel a clear difference, the 300 cc breast looks fuller at the top, sits higher, and has more upper-pole volume. When I wear tops, it’s obvious there’s more projection and size on that side.
The 300 cc breast hasn’t dropped yet, but its nipple now sits lower than the other side, which seems odd since the smaller breast has already dropped.
I understand there’s a process and that depending on tissue, one side may have needed the 300 cc compared to the 250 cc. However, my main question is, will a 300 cc implant create more diameter and upper-pole shape, making one breast appear noticeably bigger in the cleavage and upper area compared to the 250 cc side.
