Hello I have a small color tattoo with lettering that is entirely highlighted with white ink. I have been going through the removal process with picosure. My intent is an eventual coverup. But was advised by coverup artist to do at least 50% fading of black ink lettering for a successful coverup. My results after 5 sessions are marginal at best , especially the area with the lettering. I believe the laser technician is staying on the conservative side to avoid darkening of the with ink. But at this rate there will be absolutely no fading of the tattoo itself. My intention is a coverup so would it be wise to allow the technician to go a little stronger and it the ite ink highlight oxidizes then it will get covered up anyway? The black ink lettering is too dark and busy for a successful coverup but if the white ink oxidizes how dark are we talking ? I still have yet to see what white ink oxidation looks like .
