Has anyone with an autoimmune disorder had adverse effects after surgery?

I have an autoimmune disorder, Sjögren’s, and it is the only thing my PS seems a little concerned about for my upcoming surgery. Just wondering if anyone else has that disorder and if so, did it have any effects on your surgery/recovery? It manifests as pain in the joints, difficulty swallowing, dry eyes, joint stiffness, mouth dryness, stiffness, swollen lymph nodes, etc. I really hope that someone on here has had both (AU disorder and breast reduction) with absolutely no adverse effects.
