Breast reduction on the NHS or go private?

I am currently 20 years old and a size 32HH. I can never remember being any smaller than an E cup, my breasts seemed to pop up overnight! I've never liked having a big chest - I've always been known as the girl with big boobs and gotten lots of negative attention, which made my self esteem plummet :( however this is nothing compared to physical restrictions. Having to wear a bra under my swimming costume, wearing tight body slips to make them appear smaller, having to buy tops 2 sizes bigger just to accommodate my bust and daily back and neck pains that feel as though I've been heavy lifting all day! It interferes with my work as its very laborious and after only a few hours I ache. I visited my gp this week and, although she was lovely, she said my chances of getting funding are minimal mad even said that when I hear back in 6 months, it will probably be a no. I don't understand what she did, just said she would "find the form and fill it out". I've heard so many people say the NHS either rejects them last minute or takes forever to offer them a reduction. Would it be worth the wait, or should I just pluck up the courage to go privately?
