Subject: Chronic Neuropathic Pain After Facelift – Seeking Similar Experiences
Hello,
My name is Maude. I’m from Québec, Canada. I had a facelift surgery 17 months ago, and since then, I’ve been living with severe chronic neuropathic pain.
The pain is located:
Around my entire face
In my temples and behind both ears (feels like constant pressure or “cotton balls” inside)
The top of my neck and scalp, which feels extremely sensitive, as if my hair is being pulled constantly
I also feel thousands of needles when someone touches my skin, even lightly
I’m currently taking Lyrica (400 mg/day) and Cymbalta (60 mg/day), but my pain remains intense.
I’ve tried:
Stellate ganglion blocks (twice, with no improvement)
Osteopathy
Acupuncture
Lymphatic massage
I’ve been followed by a pain specialist (Dr. Patrice Langlois), but nothing has helped so far.
This condition has deeply affected my daily life, and I’m desperately trying to find others who have experienced similar chronic facial nerve pain after cosmetic surgery.
If you’ve been through anything like this, or know someone who has, I would be so grateful to hear your story.
You can write in English or French — I’ll get help translating.
Thank you so much for your time and support.
With care,
Maude Hébert
