I recently had a consultation with a plastic surgery clinic about combining a brow lift with liposuction 360. The clinic has two surgeons: one who performs facial procedures and another who handles body procedures. So, one surgeon would perform the brow lift and the other would perform the lipo 360.
After meeting with both doctors, I received separate quotes for each procedure. Each quote included the surgeon’s fee, facility fee (the clinic owns its own facility), and anesthesia fee. For lipo 360, I was quoted $4,000 for anesthesia and $4,000 for the facility (excluding the surgeon’s fee, which I don’t have questions about). For the brow lift, I was quoted the surgeon’s fee plus another $4,000 for anesthesia and $5,000 for the facility.
I specifically requested that both procedures be performed at the same time. However, the clinic still wants to charge me the full anesthesia and facility fees for the brow lift, as if it were being performed separately. This means I would essentially be paying double for anesthesia and the facility. Based on my research, many clinics reduce these fees for the second procedure when surgeries are combined.
Is it common for clinics to charge the full anesthesia and facility fees for a second procedure performed during the same session? I am located in Central Florida. I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thank you!
