Compression garments, uncomfortable and potentially useless?

I am a little over 4 days post op from an AirSculpt procedure that addressed my chest (male) and full abdomen. The proedue went very well and I feel like was exactly as advertised. I have some soreness in the treated areas, some swelling, and some itchiness around the entry sites all of which I think is completely normal. What I was not at all prepared for was the compression garment (a body suit / faja). It is making me completely miserable. The compression iteslf isn't the issue its that it just irritates my skin all day and all night. I can't sleep through the night without waking up in the middle of the night from being so uncomfortable.

It seems near universal that every surgeon is recommending their patients wear these for a period of time following the procedure. I am complying with my discharge instructions simply because I do not want to "ruin' a surgery I paid a lot of money form.

My question is regariding whether or not there is actual evidence to suggest that wearing or not wearing a compression garment yields better results months after the procedure? According to this group of researchers, there isn't any - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10519563/

I did speak with my surgeon and he was okay with me removing the lipo foam insert and switching to a differnt type of compression garment but I haven't been able to find any reputable options that will ship quickly.
