So I am on my 6th day of wearing my first Invisalign tray. I am 28 years old and finally able to afford straight teeth! By the time I am 30 I will finally stop smiling with my mouth closed. Granted majority of the people who I see almost daily couldn't even tell my teeth were crowded in the first place. Today I have noticed that the canker sores on my tongue are basically gone so that's GREAT! But it has been replaced with quite the chapped bottom lip and I am OCD with applying Vaseline to relieve the pain and keep them as moisturized as possible. My favorite time of day has become meal time since I get to take them out! I haven't felt much pain so far but I get sort of anxious to just get them off if I am focusing on nothing more than the foreign object in my mouth. Hoping that feeling fades. My dentist did not offer me chewies. Told me to use a towel to bite down for 20 minutes, 3 times a day. That was not a comfortable process to say the least! But a co worker who also has Invisalign gets chewies from her dentist and gave me a few packs. They make a world of difference! So if my dentist wont give them to me, I will order them online. Breathing during a workout has become tougher for me but I am getting through it the best I can. This forum has helped to read that others are going through the same sort of issues and knowing it will get better! This is going to be a tough two years to but all well worth it in the end!
