Hi currently I'm using a 1.5 derma roller on my face and head but mostly head for hair loss. Although that's not the issue I've had a mark on my top abdominal area for a good number of years, that I pretty much know was caused by sun burn, it was hot and I was pretty much in and out of the sun all day but as the sun got lower in the sky I felt it really hot on my top abdominals, but as we don't get alot of sun in Scotland lol I ignored it and carried on. Anyway I was a little red but nothing too bad, but that top of my abdomen was a little sore and tender but I eventually tanned, later on though when the tan had faded there was still redness in that part of my abdomen, and over the years it faded a little but left little tiny spider veins, that were kind of red when I was warm, and purple when I was cold. Sorry for the long explanation but I was trying best I could to explain the damage,Anyway last week I got the bright idea to roll that part of my skin with my 1.5 derma roller and now a week later it is still red and I can still kind of see the track marks of where I have rolled. My first impression was one of the needles must be bent and it has scratched the skin, but It can't be, because two nights after rolling my abdomen, I did my face and as I sit typing this question tonight my face is clear no redness no scratch marks totally clear so the roller is fine, and I clean the roller thoroughly every use. So why is my abdomen still red and not healed does it take longer in that area, and I have to wait or is there something I can do to speed up the healing or have I just made my burn damage worse. I always knew that you weren't supposed to roll over raised scars, but the skin was not raised it just had little spider veins or broken capillaries, I thought it would take a long to heal this area and I would need to derma roll alot if times, but I didn't think it would look worse after one session, any advice appreciated. Thanks.
