Hi all-
I am 5 weeks post op from surgery and doing well. I have posted in the Tummy Tuck forum but I feel that I wanted to chime in here too, as my surgery involved a lot of internal repair work for diastatis recti. I had 3 kids in 4 years and no matter how much pilates or physical therapy work I did, I could not fix the situation on my own. My profile and pics are kimchihoff to follow my journey. At 5 weeks out, I am feeling more and more like myself everyday. I really LOVE the results and even simple normal things like wearing a tee shirt feel different now. I am no longer dressing to conceal my protruding belly. In fact, the other night, I cleaned my closet out and purged 3 bags of billowy shirts that I am so happy to not have to wear anymore!! YAY!!!! This was never about wearing a bikini again for me...it was about feeling like my body was back in proportion. My belly is still numb and I'm not sure if and when it will regain feeling. I wonder if this is due to the amount if repair work and not so much the skin removal. The scar is healing as well.
