Dear all, is there any vitiligo persons who have done tummy tuck or breast lift? Was there any worsening of your existing vitiligo patches after surgery?
Did the surgery trauma cause new white patches to appear on the wound sites or elsewhere?
I developed vitiligo after the birth
of my last child in my mid thirties. 95% of it is on my face and 5% on a spot behind my neck, another small spot on my shin. So most of my vitiligo is confined to my face area. I had recently undergone a skin graft operation for the patches on my face, and am pleased with the results thus far.
I am keen to do a mummy makeover next but have concerns of the effects on my vitiligo.
Appreciate any input from patients or doctors with similar experience. Thank you!
