My questions are for women and men you have been getting electrolysis treatments for a while. First a a little about my situation.I have been going through electrolysis for over two years now. I go once a week for an hour on my chin. I estimate I have had over 100 hours of electrolysis on my chin area alone, and I still have chin hair!?!?!? The hair is reduced some but not enough. My hair on my chin is black terminal hair, very thick and stubborn. I have been been tested for PCOS, the ultrasound showed perfect ovaries. Just recently I had my testosterone levels tested. The results were my total testosterone levels were normal and my free testosterone was a little high. But apparently nothing to be concerned about or explain my excess hair. I was not prescribed any medication or givin any specific treatment options. So that leads me to believe that my testosterone levels are not the cause of my hair growth. And if that is the case why is the hair not gone from my chin?My questions:For anyone who has been going through electrolysis for a while, did the hair ever permently go away? I mean really go away or do you have to go back to treating the same area regularly? Will I ever be able to be hair free or is that just a fantasy? Electrolysis is supposed to be "permenant " hair removal right? How long did the process take for you? Three years, ten years, what?i am basically ready to give up and go back to the endless cycle of waxing because it cheaper. I feel like I am throwing my money down the drain. Any advice or stories would be helpful.Thank youShauna
