Hi, I'm a 49 y.o. man and I've a facelift surgery scheduled in exactly 1 month. I've had bad past experiences with a chin implant (5 years ago). More specifically I had bad nerves recovery and my right side of the chin/lower lip is still quite numb with bad feelings. In that particular case, the surgeon made a few mistakes and I've 3 got additional revisions since the implant was malpositioned the first 2 times. Despite I really want the facelift I'm litterally scared since I know skin dissection is required by this procedure and it WILL cause initial numbness. I'm expecting "cartoon like" feeling skin (or maybe total anesthesia) during the first few days/weeks (months?). This will make me scared since I won't know IF it will recover or not. I know the timeline is 6 to 12 months to get fully recovered, but I've also read many patients reporting persinting numbness and stiffness... Is there someone now going through the recovery phase ? I'd like to have as many feedback from real patients as possible.
