My doctor talks grams rather than cup sizes. He said that my breasts are about 800 grams each and he will be removing 400 grams. I'm just curious if that is going to be enough. I would love the option of going braless sometimes and being able to wear a cami or tank instead of a bra. I'm 50 years old, 5'4" and 125. I think in most bras I am currently wearing a DDD. If he takes half away, will I get that coveted B cup? Has anyone here had a 50% reduction and if so, was the result good? I want to go as small as possible, but I think the insurance company dictates the amount of grams to be removed and it sounds like a lot of doctors are hesitant to go too small. If I really could have my way, I'd be an A cup and quit wearing bras all together! My surgery is scheduled for November 6th. I am very nervous. I also wonder if at 50, I will take longer to feel well again than a younger woman. I was originally planning 1 week away from work, but I think I may do two.
