Hi everyone, I just posted something similar as a comment on another thread but I just realized that the thread was posted in 2009 so this might be more useful! Anyway, I got invisalign yesterday and my orthodontist last minute told me that invisalign has "changed their design" and now requires attachments. I wasn't sure what the attachments were so I gave him the go ahead to put them on my teeth, and he ended up putting one or even two attachments on every single tooth! As I've been reading through other peoples' reviews, most are saying they only have 2-6! 15 seems to be the absolute maximum, yet I have 28! Why is this? I was so disappointed because I was imagining that the invisalign wouldn't be noticeable but now I have these huge, square white globs on every tooth. They are also extremely white, much whiter than my teeth, making my teeth look dirty and yellow. Ugh, I don't know... I'm upset because they were SO expensive, yet now they are really attracting as much attention as regular braces would. And the inside of my mouth has been a bloody mess since I got them.. my tongue, cheeks, and lips are cut up and it is painful to talk, eat, or anything else really. If anyone has any advice on how to lessen the soreness, that would be great. Also if anyone else knows of someone who has had attachments on all teeth, please let me know! I just don't see why it is necessary!
