LASIK vs PRK vs SMILE for borderline cornea — need advice

Hi everyone,

I’ve seen 4 eye clinics — 2 said my corneas are too thin and suggest PRK or SMILE, while 2 said LASIK is still safe.

My details:

  • Age: late 20s
  • Prescription: OD –4.50 / –0.50 × 30°, OS –4.25 / –0.75 × 70°
  • Corneal thickness: center 503 µm, thinnest 494 µm
  • Stable vision for 2+ years

I know LASIK heals fastest, PRK is safest, and SMILE is in between — but I’m still unsure.

If you had a similar cornea or prescription, what did you choose and how was it?
