Hi, as the title suggests, I've noticed that my left eyelid has formed multiple creases over the last few years. As a result, it usually defaults to a higher crease (but shifts back and forth) when my eye is open and thus results in assymetry across both my eyes. My right eyelid has one solid crease as seen in the comparison photo provided.
Aside from symmetry concerns, throughout the day I can always feel when my eyelid has creased higher which is not only annoying, but also distracting. I find myself having to adjust my eyelid myself so that the crease shifts back down to it's original position which only lasts moments.
I really do not want to resort to blepharoplasty or any sort of invasive procedure to correct this. I am currently trialling eyelid tip to see if I can "train" my eyelid to crease lower again. I would love to get some professional advice on:
1. What could have caused this? Is this due to lower collagen in my left eye area? Or due to rubbing of the eye? (I've been wearing contact lenses for the last 14 years if that is relevant at all)
2. How can I reverse this? Strong preference towards non-surgical solutions. Is it possible to "retrain" my eyelid to make it default to the lower crease?
Thank you.
