I had lower blepharoplasty in December 2023 and learned at my 6 week check up that a revision would be necessary on my left eye to remove residual fat. 7 months later I underwent revision, and unfortunately, there was no improvement. My surgeon has been excellent, but during my 6 week checkup indicated that he does not believe there is anything further that can be done. He indicated that he removed the remaining fat pad and that no further skin can be removed because it might cause drooping of the eyelid. He observed that the bulg/bag might be muscle showing.
My right eye looks great, but I am incredibly disappointed with the outcome of my left eye. The photo below was taken 7 weeks after surgery. (I have more photos available but was only able to upload one photo here) The muscle under my eye is noticeably harder/swollen than it was prior to surgery, and it feels as though there is a bit of a ridge at the point where the bulge/bag remains. I would love any insights anyone can offer as well as suggestions about potential treatment options. Thank you!
