I am a 25 year old female who was on birth control for a little over a year. I noticed a few months into taking the pill, the skin above my lip started darkening. I got off the pill about 6 months ago, & my melasma has faded quite a bit. But, now my skin is breaking out worse than ever before. Do I have to choose between being on the pill & having clear skin AND melasma or being off the pill & having horrible skin & no melasma?
