Ok, so I am 32 and I have been meaning to go and get Restylane and/or botox for about a year now. I've actually decided that I probably don't need botox at this second and can deal with the small wrinkles I have with the retin A that I use.In any case, however, I think that I would like to do a little bit of filler around the corners of my mouth in particular. I *hate* marionette lines, I think that they look completely gross. I'm not thrilled about the beginnings of nasolabal folds, either, but I especially don't like the former. Anyway, my dermatologist doesn't really believe in doing anything like that before age 40. He said that he really thinks that some of the trend with younger women wanting to do that is the fact that our culture is so hard on women. I appreciate his feminist perspective and I agree with him, but I still don't like it. I just don't feel "ready" to deal with marionette line thing. However, I trust this person; he's been my dermatologist for 17 years, and one of the reasons I asked him is because I knew that he has a very common sense approach to such things. That being said, I still want to do it. But, I feel weird asking someone else to do it, too. If I do that, don't they need to see my medical records from my other doctor? Oddly enough, I actually feel *embarrassed* to ask about this. I also want to find the right practitioner, as no one wants to get their face massacred. Other thought I've considered is sculptra-isn't it designed to help the body make its own collagen over time? Perhaps that's a better option?
