I had my initial consultation with the surgeon on Dec. 11, 2014, and was told that OHIP usually took 4-6 weeks for approval. It has now been over 8 weeks, and I am getting a little anxious. I called the Dr. office just after the 5 week mark to check on the status of my application, and the receptionist was rather 'off' with me, telling me that they would call me, not the other way around! Needless to say, I am a little hesitant to call again. Just wondering how long other people from Ontario who have recently had or been approved for surgery have had to wait. I am currently 5'3", 152 lb and 38G, and the surgeon said that she was confident that I would have no trouble being approved. Should I be worried that it is taking so long? Thanks in advance!
