(I'm on day 6)The procedure itself wasn't painful, but it was annoying. Have the applicator clamped to your fat is just annoying. Then the freezing cold air that blows on you is even more annoying. I could feel the air pretty much the first 35 minutes. I can say I was definitely warned about numbness and swelling, and possible weird shooting pain "here and there". Before I get into the pain, let me first talk about the swelling. Swelling: the swelling is insane! I was so uncomforyably swollen! I seriously looked and moved like I was 6 months pregnant. I couldn't get out of bed as easily, sit to use the restroom as easily, bend over easily. To make it worse, I had a huge blob of jello for a belly. And still pretty much do, I'm on day 6. I've been locked in the house because I look and feel ridiculous-not to mention the worsening discomfort and shooting pains.Pain: On day 4 I started having shooting pains from my nerves healing. The numbness is slowly wearing off and my skin hurts to even have a T-shirt graze against it; my skin feels almost sunburned. Because my belly is swollen, I can't sit up without it hurting my skin as my big old gut touches itself! With this burning feeling, sitting up from lying down, sitting and getting up, bending over, all hurts my "burned" skin. Day 5- the tingling, shooting pain, and "burned" skin feeling worsened. No difference in bowl of jello belly.Day 6- same thing, worse than yesterday. Nothing helps but wine! Seriously, I know it's counterproductive but I need relief from this CONSTANT annoying discomfort. I can handle the shooting pains, but the nagging sensation of constant discomfort from swelling and "burned" skin is getting to me. I'm tring to downplay the pain in my head and tell myself I can handle it, but I'm so tired of this feeling!!I've taking tons of Advil (as advised), doesn't even put a dent in these feelings....wine it is. I hope this subsides soon. Lack of sleep from shooting pains and even the sheets hurt my skin. For now, my thoughts are: just do lipo. At least they give you pain killers, which at least can help you sleep through the worst of it. I've had two plastic surgeries. They were painful, but I had help in the form of pills to take the edge off at least. Not worth it!!!
