I had revision facelift and fat transfer and laser resurfacing 20 days ago, more swelling on left, unable to smile symmetrically on that side, corner of mouth won't raise up, eye doesn't close as tight, can't flare nostril, only minimal improvement in moving mouth, probably due to decreased swelling over the last week. Tried prednisone dose pack, warm to cool soaks, sleeping sitting up, and arnica and bromelain. So asymmetrical, I look like Popeyes as the paralyzed side the eye looks wider as well. I have no tingling or fasciculations on the affected side. I have tried daily lymphatic massage. I didn't have paralysis after the first surgery, the surgeon said there were no problems except the previous surgeon had used mersilene sutures superficially on the smas. Surgeon says he used blunt dissection with scissor tips. He says the paralysis should resolve. I have my doubts and I don't want to wait 6 to 12 months to see, any suggestions please? My less swollen side, my mouth doesn't curl up as far as it used to. I have lost my dimple on my left side (the paralyzed side).
