Hello everyone,I'm hoping to gain some insight as to what my options are. I have a very love/hate relationship with my tattoo. I love the octopus but I hate the big blue blob that surrounds it. About 6 weeks ago I went in to have an addition made to my tattoo. It previously had pink streaks in the background but they looked kind of like scratch marks so I wanted to add another color. I asked the artist to do a very gradual fade of blue behind the streaks to make them pop. Well, he went a little crazy with the blue and covered up 50% of the pink. He also left a really defined outline around the edges which I hate. I wish I could just have my tattoo back the way it was before (without the blue) or at least lighten the blue so it's no so overpowering.Am I candidate for laser removal? I've read that the laser can be fine tuned to remove only one color. Would it cause the blue to darken first and look even worse? Would it affect the rest of my tattoo? He mixed the blue with water in an attempt to do the gradient I asked for so it's not very saturated (at least on the edges). My other option would be to try adding the pink back but then I would still have that defined edge of blue blobbiness. Any advice for me? Thank you in advance for your help. This website is wonderful!
