I have some pink skin discoloration after removal of actinic keratoses spots 4 weeks ago. The spots are gradually fading but still prevalent. In a follow up appointment yesterday the doctor told me they need to stay dry in order to fade. He recommended not to use any moisturizer on them, only my tretinoin rx and vit c serum. I have been using moisturizer on them up till now.
Keeping them dry counters much of what I have read.
Is this helpful to keep the spots dry? If so, should I use a scar cream to help them fade?
