Hello, I am now 3 months post-op. I am a professional belly dancer and chose to undergo liposuction to extend my career. Unfortunately, I think it may have killed it. By week 3 I developed fibrosis. My surgeon was surprised to see the results, and at my last follow-up two weeks ago I asked him if he had ever seen fibrosis like mine. He said in all his 30 years he had never seen a case this severe. I am beyond depressed and regretful. I also had lipo to my thighs without complication. From what I understand, fibrosis is either genetics, aggressiveness of the surgeon, or Smart lipo is also linked to increased fibrosis. I can't find any concrete answers as to how to treat it. I went for lymphatic massage, wore my compression garment as instructed, and have now been using ultrasound and laser. It feels softer, but doesn't look any better. I am hoping there might be someone out there that has gone through this and come out of the dark tunnel. I know realistically I may have to have a revision down the line. In the meantime I cannot perform like this, and it will cost me so much more money to lose work and still correct the issues (if I even can). Looking for some advice from either doctors who specialize in revision or people that have had fibrosis after liposuction. Even if I am stuck like this forever, I just need to know I'm not alone
