I found PS for my BA but they don't answer my emails/questions in a timely manner

Hi, I finally made a decision to go for BA. This has been a very important decision of my life. I found a surgeon that I really like and went for a consultation. I haven't scheduled yet because I plan to do it in Dec and I'm waiting for them to let me know what dates are available . I'm having issues with them not answering my emails /messages. Is this normal or should I consider finding a diff PS. They are making me feel less important and honestly I feel like they're ignoring me. Help.
