I am 5'1, 175lbs, 38DDD+ and 31 years old.  This will be my first surgery since getting my wisdom teeth removed.  I consider myself active and relatively healthy with no chronic conditions, a non-smoker and I drink only socially.  What is the typical recovery time for non-complication breast reduction surgery?  I'm wondering how long I am down and out from being able to do normal people things like shower, cook for myself, dress myself and do chores around the house?  Also, how long is realistic to think I need off from work for a non-physical job where I work from home on the computer and on calls all day?  Would it be realistic to also think that I can start attending things socially within 10-14 days of surgery?  How long before people typically are able to start going to the gym and working out?  And last, and most importantly, how long before going back to doing physical, contact sports, like roller derby?  I am trying to nail down my surgery date since I've got all my approvals from my insurance and have to consider things going on in my life as well.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!  I look forward to future posts on this forum and getting to know more of you better!
