Post op 34 days..it has been a long road in "recovery". I still have residual swelling, bruising, discoloration and scabbing in front of and behind ears.  Saw PS yesterday and he was not concerned, just said I am a "slow healer" and these are "wound issues" with no infection. I really could not get a straight answer out of him if it is best to leave the scabs dry (then they are hard, crusty and can pull) or moist (Aquaphor?)..I had used Neosporin for two days last week and it just burned and burned my skin, so I wnet back to just leaving them dry. I lost a large scab two nights ago after a shower and it felt good, actually after I stopped freaking out. It was behind my right ear. Last night as I was dabbing Aquaphor behind the ear, I felt a slight trickle, and blood was dripping...bright red blood...so, I dabbed it off and let it all dry. No pain today, but I am wondering what others are doing? I can "almost" be seen except for the scabs that are visible at the lower earlobes. PS kept stressing makeup, dermablend, dermawant, but I really just want to heal and not try to always cover it up. So, essentially, I have mostly been leaving them dry (except for showers). But, I have read that by keeping them moist it will heal better? Thank you somuch!!!!I guess  I want to know, did it look really bad for some then magically one day the scabs were gone and you could concentrate on the scar healing?
