Seeking Revision Advice After Double Mastectomy Reconstruction

Six months ago, I underwent a preventive double mastectomy due to the BRCA2 genetic mutation. As part of my reconstruction, teardrop-shaped expanders were placed over the muscle. While these were intended to serve as final implants, I’ve encountered several issues that make me believe revision surgery may be necessary.

• The diameter of the implants is narrower than my natural breasts, creating gaps under my arms where tissue used to extend and above my breast.

• When the implants weren’t fully filled, I noticed rippling and sagging. After filling, the implants now feel very firm and appear less natural.

• The upper breast area lacks a gradual slope, with high projection that doesn’t match my previous shape.

• There’s tightness and cording on the right breast, as well as skin adhesion and restricted movement.

I’m seeking advice on how to address these concerns to achieve a more natural appearance and feel. Are there specific revision techniques or procedures that can improve the overall shape, softness, and mobility? I’d greatly appreciate any insights or experiences from others who have gone through similar situations.

Thank you!
