Today is day 3. I went into this not knowing that it would hurt so much during the procedure and not having found this site beforehand to know that pain afterward was a possibility. That is on me. But, I thought I'd share where I am now for others, like me, who stumble into this and then regret their decision. :) So, day 3. So far, so good. The procedure itself was very painful. Not the suction, but the massage afterward; very painful for me. Came home from the procedure (2 large sections of my lower abdomen and love handles, plus a large section of my upper abdomen), with nausea and just feeling crappy. Took Benadryl as suggested and slept for 12 hours. Day 2, felt better but had a TON of bruising. Put ice packs on my tummy for an hour, took Tylenol and Benadryl and slept well. Today, day 3, felt great, actually. Swelling is down considerably. Tonight, I have done ice packs on all areas and had a couple of glasses of wine. The last two days I've consumed a lot of water to flush the system. I feel a lot of twitching. It reminds me of when my babies would kick while I was pregnant. Knowing I'm not pregnant, its a weird feeling but not painful. I bought aspercreme, per a recommendation on this site. Tonight the swelling has gone down quite a lot and I can actually see a difference. I'm almost back to where I was before, which means I can maybe wear my regular clothes. I bought a compression wrap from Walgreens (it just goes around your abdomen, not sexy at all), but I will seek out a compression garment/spanx this week. I'm anticipating more when the "nerves wake up" as others have reported. But so far, I'm doing pretty good.
