My surgeon recommends staying in a surgery recovery center the 1st night of my surgery, who will pick me up after surgery and take me back the next day for my post op. At $1000/night, I’m wondering if that’s necessary? My boyfriend took time off work to take care of me, so I won’t be on my own. Staying at a hotel that night close by could be an option too at a fraction of the cost (my only hesitation of going home the first night is that I have 3 dogs and it’s about a 45 min drive).
