Hi there - I am getting my first BA. Silicone mod profile plus. 300cc at most. I'm 5'5 and 115. I had a consult with a very reputable board-certified surgeon in a major city, and he said for the natural look I want and somewhat athletic build, that I do subfascial placement. I just assumed I would have to do subpectoral (or a version of that), and while he does that too, he thinks that for my situation, I would like the subfascial placement the best (ie under that layer of fascial tissue on top of the main pectoral muscle). He said it will give a more natural look vs under the muscle, esp. since I am mainly aiming to fill up my existing breast tissue deflated from breast-feeding (I'm probably a small B now).
When I read about subfascial placement, it seems much less common. Everyone who has had it says they love it, but there are a number of plastic surgeons online (including here) who criticize it. I wanted to start a new post on this to get everyone's opinion. Like I said, the doctor in question is in a major city, board certified and very reputable.
Thanks!! - Jessica
