Ultherapy machine - as a guide for treatment.

I have been told by an Ultherapy practitioner that the machine tells her what to essentially do, as in how deep to go, 1.5/3.5 or 4.5 or all three. The responsibility seems to be in the equipment and the imaging which guides the treatment. Can an expert please explain why an experienced and educated (about facial anatomy) practitioner provides a better service and more positive result. If, for example, the imaging on the machine allows for 4.5 then what expertise would override this? Thanks.
