Hello! I would love some feedback on my new veneers. My original veneers were 20+ years old and needed to be replaced. I loved the shape and natural look of my old veneers. I am increasingly self conscious of my new veneers because I don't like the shape, they look too bulky and look glaringly white and chalky in pictures (to me, it looks like I am wearing dentures). I feel like my new veneers don't look right with my face (my overall apperance of my face and it also makes me look older!) and I'm starting to avoid pictures and Facetiming. To be fair, my dentist had a set of veneers made at the lab and I thought they looked really heavily ridged and not bright enough. I feel like we overcorrected and the set I have no has virtually NO ridging, no transparancy and are very square.
My dentist told me repeatedly not to worry about the color of my bottom teeth not matching my new veneers and not to factor that into the shade of my veneers. I disagree now and I feel like it looks bad and makes it even more obvious that my top teeth are veneers.
Food also constantly gets stuck in my new veneers!
I have attached some pictures of my new veneers, one of the photo I showed the dentist that I found online of veneers I liked, and then some pictures of my old veneers that I loved (but several were cracked from wear and tear and my gum line had receded to it had small gaps between 2 teeth). I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have. I am hoping my dentist will work with me on another new set (although I'm very nervous to ask) so that I can be confident with my smile again. Thank you!
