My wedding is in three weeks, and I’m feeling uncertain about a cosmetic procedure I had done for the first (and probably only) time. Two weeks ago, I went to a plastic surgeon for Botox to soften my forehead lines. He also recommended using half a syringe of filler for a deeper crease on my forehead and the other half for my nasolabial folds, so I trusted his advice and proceeded.
Pictured is my forehead two weeks post-procedure. I’ve been massaging it as instructed, but to me, it looks bumpy and discolored. The surgeon insists it’s just discoloration that can be covered with makeup, but when I had microneedling recently, the facialist also noted that it appears bumpy on my forehead and around my mouth. The surgeon has offered to dissolve the filler for free but still suggests makeup as a solution instead.
When I apply makeup, it helps somewhat, but the bumpiness and discoloration are still noticeable.
Additionally, I’ve included a photo of the filler in my nasolabial folds. It looks like the filler might have migrated under my lips, as that area appears a bit puffy and uneven.
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar. Should I consider getting the filler dissolved so close to my wedding? If I choose not to dissolve it, what are your best tips for minimizing the bumpiness and discoloration with makeup or other techniques?
