This website and you all have helped me so much.  I had my first round of plastics in my home state about a decade ago after considerable weight loss.  LBL, Arms.  It was...okay.  I felt the after care was terrible, almost nonexistent, but that is old news and no point focusing on that.  It certainly didn't make me want to spend four times the amount to have surgery here again with a much less skilled set of surgeons to choose from near my home.I waited on my thighs because everyone says how they are the hardest, lower satisfaction rate etc etc.  I researched my guts out. For ten years. It took me over a year to interview and chose a surgeon, (outside of my country).  I had my surgery on 9/5 and stayed there for two weeks with daily care from his nurses and himself.  Everything was going way better than I had prepared myself for.I feel he did a beautiful job.  My breasts are amazing.  On my thighs, (which were really bad) it all looked like such a great improvement.  I had already been to my primary care doctor locally before surgery to get his support on any after care I may need that he could provide.  He was/is supportive. At two and a half weeks my left thigh incision opened up...and got bigger each day. Surgeon was extremely attentive and walked me though everything to do.  Finally he said I would need to be restitched. Primary care doc recommend I go to ER as they would be able to not only restitch me, but put in a drain so this wouldn't open again.  This was Friday afternoon.  The ER doc took it upon himself at the ripe old age of 30 to declare that no one at that that hospital would restitch me.  Not sure how he could speak for the whole staff but I guess he did.  They packed my wound, and sent me out the door...I now had to wait until Monday.  Although my surgeon remained at my disposal constantly, he still was too far away to restitch me, which everyone seemed in agreement was all that was needed.  I had a appt already scheduled for today (Monday) with my primary care physician. He said that stitching me up was beyond his skill set because I needed a drain put in, and he couldn't do that in his office.  He is now reaching out to the local wound care specialists and also a local PS that is willing to see me in about a week.  It sounds like wound care may be covered by my insurance, PS wants buckets of cash for me to walk in his door.  I am considering both options.I would like to know if any of you have experienced this type of wound seperation and what you and your doctors did to get you better, the timeline, and how it all ended up. If anyone is willing to share any helpful info I would greatly appreciate it.  I would prefer not to be told I shouldn't have had surgery away from my home.  I can't reverse time, and that isn't helpful to the situation at hand.  Thanks for your time and I hope you are all healing well out there!
