How much weight should I REALLY gain for a BBL?

I was told by my doctor I should gain weight before my procedure. One of the nurses said "gain as much as possible, since hes going to lipo it all off anyways". I've been dieting for years keeping my bodyfat % low - but that sounds too good to be true. My surgery is 8 weeks away, where should my BMI be? I am 5'7 and was 145 lbs, BMI of 22 when I met with my doctor last month. Since then we had christmas and the whole month of January yeah I splurged a bit. Would 15-20 pounds from 145 be ideal?
