Hi,
I had an otoplasty done 6 weeks ago and at this point I am not really satisfied with the results. Both ears appear to be overcorrected (especially the upper third part) My helix is not seen at all from the front making them look unnatural. The antihelix that was made appears to be bulky, protruding and too vertical (no natural curvature at all) It seems like the protrusion of my original ears was compensated by overcorrection of the superior crus, but the result looks like "elf ears". I know that cartilage has its memory and I need to wait at least 4-6 months and by this time the contour should improve but I really can't believe in this kind of "magic". The surgeon used rasping and absorbable sutures technique. So, will the countour improve and get a more natural apperance over time or do I need a revision surgery? (and how possible and difficult it will be)
Thank you in advance
