I have had difficult Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation for over 2 years. 4 months ago I started to try a more natural treatment of Amara organic vitamin c serum in the morning and night. At night use organic cold pressed castor oil rubbed in a circular motion and then slather on more to just let it soak in before I go to bed. In these past 4 months I have had better results than a year and a half of using expensive Lytera from the dermatologist office. So glad I stopped Lytera because it barely did anything and was a total wate of time and money. Since using the vitamin c and castor oil I have seen my hyperpigmentation slowly start to lighten and break up. It is a VERY slow process and I still have a ways to go, but just seeing it start to break up and seeing my normal skin tone where it breaks up gives me hope that if I continue doing what I am doing, hopefully one day in the near future it will totally resolve itself back to normal. I just wanted to recommend what I am doing to those who are suffering from Hyperpigmentation/ melasma. It is such a difficult condition, but I hope you see some improvement with my suggestion. And don't forget to use Sunscreen. I use Elta Md UV Defense Spf 45, and re-apply often rain or shine. Good luck to all.
