I had a mid face lift 14 months ago. Incisions were made along my ears and up into my scalp. A couple of months ago I started shedding excessive amounts of hair and it has continued to now. About 2 weeks after the shedding started my scalp started tingling all over. That gave way to burning sensations that have moved around my scalp. It’s now an off and on feeling. Additionally, I’ve recently noticed subtle and brief tingling sensations in my arms, fingers, toes, and sometimes pelvic region. I consulted with a neurologist and she said it was likely my hypothyroidism. I know that’s not causing this. Above my right ear I think I may feel a suture that was not removed. I had no symptoms until over a year after the surgery. Should I be concerned about nerve entrapment? If so, how easy is this to remedy? I feel like my world has been turned upside down.
