I'm on day 5, and going out to dinner for fiancé' birthday. Is makeup ok?

My face is so bloated and tight; you can say I resemble Mrs Shrek, Ms Piggy, a sumo wrestler. You get my drift! Can someone suggest how to apply makeup to make my face look thinner? Also still have to wear my compression band, so considering finding a pretty scarf to tie around it to dress it up. I'll probably wear my shades because my eyes look tears and look like slant slits. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!
