Hello, I went to counselling today in a clinic in Dresden, Germany. There I have discussed my concerns which were mostly mid face and jawline. I do have a jawline, but there is extra fat that I want to lose for the chiseled jaw look.
My skin type is oily, thick (as in skin layer, African mixed white and light to medium tan)
My doctor has expressed concerns, and I was informed that scar tissue, as brown people scar more easily. He advised against incision procedures auch as lifts, as there would not be enough of a satisfactory / noticeable difference for how little the incision they would be able to do. He also advised against a lower blepth, PDO threads - in concern that my tissue might be too soft and the thread would not hold well/slip through. and liposuction. (For now) With the explanation that I could scar easily and that these procedures were too harsh, that I should beging with 'soft' preventation methods as opposed to surgery.
He has given me the alternative option of a fett weg spritze (fat melting procedure) which he would inject into my jaw, under my chin and even the soft tissue around my mouth.
I have done a ton of research since, and it left me unsatisfied with what little options I am left with. the general faith of such fat melting injections like PPC, which I believe is similar to kybella, is generally low. The opinions on such procedures are vastly divided, with the majority advising against it for valid reasons. It's unpredictable nature would just give me anxiety, considering he added that he would be injecting it near my mouth, where jowls could form, too.
TL;DR, doc recommends fat melting injection (PPC here in Germany) over liposuction due to scarring concerns. Is this advisable though? I don't have a ton of fat pocket under my chin/a very thin layer that is only visible when I bend my neck pretty much down.
