I've always disliked my nose since I was 10, and my mom knows this. They've actually let me get double eyelid surgery when I was 18 and my mom and grandma have gotten plastic surgery before. Somehow, they are viciously against me getting anything done to my nose. In their eyes, rhinoplasties are one of the most dangerous plastic surgeries out there and me getting one will instantly result in a botched nose that will ruin my life & career & changes of getting a spouse in the future. I'm about to graduate college now and getting a rhinoplasty has been more on my mind. Their argument is that because they've done surgeries, they now know the risks associated with them and thus I am not allowed to get one because the nose job will be too high risk. They don't listen to me when I say I've extensively researched this doctor and the low likelihood that a botched nose will happen. Has anyone been in a situation like this? Should I just do it anyways or are there suggestions for other ways I can convince them? Cost isn't a worry in this situation. Thank you very much!
