Experience with dissolving years-old cheek filler?

I’ve had hyaluronidase administered to dissolve lip filler in the past, and the experience was painful.

I’ve also had hyaluronidase to dissolve cheek filler where I felt that I was overfilled, but the area still seems quite full. At this point, I’ve had the filler in the area for several years. In addition, I’ve also had fat transfers to the cheeks and under-eye area in the past.

I’m wondering how safe it would be to administer additional hyaluronidase to dissolve filler, since I’ve read many accounts of people saying that hyaluronidase also affected their natural hyaluronic acid stores. Some people have said that they were never the same since. While some plastic surgeons have said there are no dangers to dissolving old filler, I’ve also had a few doctors say that in certain incidents, there has been long-lasting damage.

How do I determine if it’s safe to dissolve any additional cheek filler in the face? Does anyone have experience dissolving years-old filler?
