Has anyone experienced black ink turning a light brown during laser tattoo removal?

I recently had my second tattoo removal session on an all black tattoo. The lighter shading turned pretty red for a few days and has now turned a kind of dirty brown colour. Has anyone experienced this? If so, was it resolved?
