Hello- 54 year old male. Had facelift done a little over 7 weeks ago. I developed during recovery I would say 2 weeks out, 4 bumps. 1 on left temple, one on left upper cheekbone, one on right upper cheek bone and one on right side lower cheek. The 1 on the left temple actually popped and stuff came out so that flattened out. The other 3 are still there and not improving much at all. Went to surgeon he stuck a needle in the biggest one on the cheek but nothing came out. Had follow up today and it is no better. He is thinking it might be a hematoa or a seroma. Is it possible for hematoa and or seroma to happen two weeks out of surgery? It has been about 5 weeks since the bumps appeared and they really are not improving. In fact they are now a little painful to the touch. I look awful and feel like the procedure is a bust. I am so discouraged I want to hit something!! Please advise your opinion. I am going to the surgeon next Tuesday. This is tricky as I am 4 hours away from the surgeon so we do most of our appoitments are virtual. He is being good at trying to calm me down and Im trying to be calm but I spent alot of money alot of emotion and time for this to meet my expectations and I litteraly look way worse when at this point I was supposed to look 15 years younger! Surgeon is well known, board certified so its not like I went to some butcher in Europe or Mexico. I have confidence in my doctor but am just interested in other opinions before my in person appoitment next week. One thing to note-- about 11 days out I got super super sick with this awful cough that was the worst cough in my life, could that perhaps have caused these bumps? The one pic I was able to post is my right current side , the side with the cheek bump/lump and upper cheek bone bump/lump. Thank you
