Is it healthy/safe to use both Tretinoin (Retin-A Micro 0.04% gel) & Adapalene (Differin 0.1% gel) together for acne?

I’m in my mid twenties & struggle w/ adult acne. Through trial & error over the years I’ve found that retinoids really help and I definitely get better results when I use them in both my AM & PM skincare routine. I use low-strength adapalene in the morning & moderate strength tretinoin at night because my skin doesn’t tolerate high-strength tretinoin. I’ve recently read that many people strongly recommend against this. Is it okay to continue this if I use a lot of moisturizer & sunscreen daily?
