Ok - so for six months I have been to 5 surgeons in regards to a lipoma ( according to biopsy ) had ultrasound done , and was finally sent to a derm clinic to have it removed . Simple yes ? No.The doctor who was very well rehearsed in this area checked the tumor out manually ( which is located in the back of my neck - right side , near spine and said it did not have margins and called it diffuse ( I believe ) and choose to go in and try to remove it .Long story . He closed the incision after a few minutes ( aprox 15 ) and began to share with me that this tumor was located near the fascia and ' attached ' to a few things it should not be . I am assuming muscles - nerves , etc . He then shared that he cannot remove it but was willing to send me to a Collegue of his who is a plastic surgeon . Is this normal ? And what is this type of lipoma . He also shared that two lymph nodes are swollen next to the mass .What is this thing called and am I the only person with this type of tumour .thank you !
