The hook part of my braces is more angled into my upper gums. I don't really feel it. However, I experience excruciating pain whenever they are tightened because my orthodontist struggles to remove the elastic ligaments. It takes multiple attempts and each and every time the tools scratch my gums and leave them hurting. I feel like I shouldn't ask my orthodontist because if there was a problem I'm assuming they would've seen it by now. The rest of my brackets aren't like this its only one of them. Please someone help me.
